AIM

This project aims to design a specialised version of Facebook called “Friendszone” that allows users to create an account and post messages that others can read.

Functional Requirements

Signup: New member can register to open an account

Email: No two users on the site should be able to share the same email address and a message should be displayed to the user about this during the registration process.

User Profile Information: Display user Biography and mobile number

Edit Profile: Login Users can edit profiles.

Profile: Login Users can view each other’s profiles

Likes: Login Users can like a post.

Unlike: Login Users can unlike their like post

Profile Picture: To display the user’s photo.

User Timeline: All posts must be time-stamped with their creation date and time.

Comments & Replies: Comment on a post, reply to a comment, view all post comments.

Reports: Report posts to be checked by administrators.

Take action to block the user.

Informs search engines about the site’s content structure to improve search engine optimization (SEO) and enhance visibility.

I implemented moderation features, including content filtering and user reporting, to maintain a safe environment.

To report a user, click their picture in the sidebar or the Report button.

All user comments and related data are stored in the MySQL database.
